Launching Childcare & Transportation Programs for Moms in Crisis

Why This Matters

At our home, transportation and childcare consistently rise to the top as the two biggest barriers preventing our residents from being able to work, attend college, or participate in vital appointments and programs.

Without a safe ride to school or work, progress halts.
Without reliable childcare, opportunities disappear.

By launching these two programs, we’re removing the greatest obstacles standing between our moms and long-term independence.

 

What Your Gift Will Launch

1. Childcare Program

This program will allow residents to:

• Attend work shifts without scrambling for last-minute childcare

• Take college classes or job-training programs

• Attend parenting classes, counseling, doctor appointments

• Have safe, consistent care for their babies during critical goal-meeting hours

In Prescott, there are only TWO childcare centers for infants, both with limited availability and costs that exceed what our residents can afford. This program directly supports our residents by providing safe and stable childcare so they can get back into work and/or school.

2. Transportation Program

This program will provide:

• Reliable rides to work & school

• Transportation for medical appointments

• Access to community resources

• Greater independence for moms who are working toward self-sufficiency

Transportation is often the deciding factor between keeping a job and losing one—this program bridges that gap.
